On June 11th 2023, a British Airways A350-1000 performing flight from London, Heathrow to Austin, Texas, was delayed for more than 6 hours at Heathrow due to an accidental slide deployment. Based on details provided by the Sun, this accidental deployment was caused by a flight attendant on her first day at work. The passengers were able to disembark without any reported injuries. A replacement aircraft was made available to take the passengers to their destination.
